I attended Montana State University on a rodeo scholarship before earning my Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University.

In counselling, I use a client-centred, experiential, trauma-informed approach for working with clients; I am also a certified Observed Experiential Integration (OEI) therapist for trauma processing. I have extensive experience working with children and youth since 2011 and completed a master’s internship at a horse ranch focusing on Equine Assisted Counselling for children and youth with attachment disruption (children from foster homes, group homes, and single-parent homes). Other Master’s level internships that I completed was at an OEI trauma clinic for adults and at a High School as a support counsellor. I have also attended workshops for clinical hypnosis and how to work with trauma in psychotherapy.

My diverse skill-set allows me to offer customized services for clients with a variety of needs. I offer therapy for anxiety, depression, emotion/mood regulation, trauma, grief, loss, attachment issues, addiction, communication/social skills, and low self-esteem. I feel compassion is at the center of my practice and I believe in an honest style of feedback to empower my clients to have the courage to speak freely. I value creating a safe space for people to build confidence and have fun as they explore the physical, psychological, and emotional elements of reaching their goals.

One of the gifts that we receive through working with animals in therapy is that, due to their highly social and herd mentality, animals communicate using body language and consistently offer honest, non-judgmental feedback so the potential for personal growth is truly limitless.
